Mary is strategic and mission-oriented individual with 20+ years of planning and economic development experience and building strategic coalitions and relationships, in both the private and non-profit sectors. Mary showcases a deep dedication to realizing sustainable and healthy communities that offer a solid foundation in which individuals and businesses can succeed.
Prior to becoming the Executive Director of the Cuyahoga County Planning Commission in January 2021, she was a Senior Director of Sites Strategy at Team NEO, and previously worked as a Transportation Planner at HNTB. She is recognized as an influencer and architect through public service and leadership, and her diverse background allows her to participate in a variety of economic development and planning initiatives in Cuyahoga County. Mary has two children in college and lives in Lakewood with her husband.

February 23rd, will be impactful, it is Rotary International's 118th Birthday, it is Rotary World Understanding and Peace Day, and is the eve of the 1 year anniversary for the Russian Ukrainian War.

We have a new volunteer opportunity with Good Knights, Saturday, January 28th, from 9:00 - 1:00 p.m. setting up twin beds in homes for kids that currently do not have a bed. The install consists of putting together the headboard, sideboards and footboard, inserting the mattress and putting on the sheets. All pieces parts will be delivered by Good Knights with simple instructions. The location will be different Cleveland Metropolitan Housing Authority buildings, details will be provided once we have a confirmed number of volunteers. Cleveland Rotary Foundation Annual Fund Campaign
We kicked of our Cleveland Rotary Foundation annual fund campaign at the beginning of December, our goal is 100% participation and at this time we have received contributions from 31 Rotarians. Your donation goes towards our 4 avenues of service representing all the good we do in our community!
This past Monday, MLK Day, they had 19 participants at Rotary Bowling, including subs Alex Bowen and Tal Nadan. Tal, who is visiting Julie West, lives in New York City and works as a librarian at the New York Public Library.
Ed Thomas was a member of “The 200 Club” this evening with his 220 score in the third game. Dan Cronin had the second highest game with a 189, and Jessica Hanes had the third highest score, with a 172. Cathy Thomas had both her high game (152) and high series (439) of the year as did Karen Melton (148, 375). David Skrzynski had the “Ugly Leave of the Evening,” a 4-6-8-10 combination in the first game. Then he had the “Shot of the Night” by converting the spare. John Giovanetti also converted a difficult split, a 2-6-10. Michele Caticchio almost had a perfectly consistent series, rolling 99-97-100.
