Alen Glazen
Founder GlazenUrban

Glen started GlazenUrban after he retired from his career in advertising and tv.  GlazenUrban was his idea of a private community development company which would support and capitalize on suburban flight, the return to the city where he was born.   This evolved from owning taverns, coffee shops and bagel companies to starring on a network tv show, patterned after Shark Tank, and then taking the project over as a not-for-profit partnered by GlazenUrban, COSE, JumpStart, Cleveland Neighborhood Progress and Fox 8.
Rotary Networking via Zoom Breakout Rooms
Join us this Thursday at 11:30 a.m. for another networking session. (utilize the weekly meeting link above)  We are going to discuss one of our Strategic Objectives of Membership Growth, we will focus on the topic of Corporate and Family memberships.  Bring idea's and enthusiasm along with a little information about your business and how you can help impact our club!!
Call to Action!

Community Service during Covid 19 Quarantine
Are you performing “Service Above Self” in your own community?
If you are, please share with the club!

During this unconventional period, when we are unable to freely gather and volunteer in the community together, we are looking for ways to connect and share in activities that our members are participating in on their own.  Many of us are most likely already doing good things in our communities.  If you are delivering meals,  helping someone get a job, assisting at church, participating in a  blood drive, or any other community outreach, please send a photo,  a short summary and include the number of  hours you spent doing the activity.  We would like to share these on our social media sites and through our E-Newsletter.  Please feel free to invite a Rotary buddy to your next activity if you feel comfortable doing so.  We can continue to do good things in the community together while we are still apart.

Attention All Blood Donors
Red Cross now testing all blood donations for COVID-19 antibodies
Urgent need for blood donors to help prevent
summer shortage
Beginning June 15th, and for a limited time, the American Red Cross is testing all blood, platelet and plasma donations for COVID-19 antibodies, providing donors insight into whether they have been exposed to this coronavirus. At the same time, there continues to be an urgent need for blood donations as hospitals resume surgeries and treatments that require blood products. Click the link below to donate!

This March several of us signed up to participate in the YWCA 21 Day Racial Equity and Social Justice Challenge. Each day we received an email with a 5 minute video, article or podcast sharing something new to learn about racial equity. It is time to connect virtually and discuss and share what we learned! We know it is isn't easy to discuss race in our country but as Rotarians we are committed to learning from others and taking action to create lasting changes in our communities. So bring an open mind, your own cocktail, and your enthusiasm to connect and learn together as we explore the topics from the challenge!

Did you miss out on the original challenge? You are still welcome- the challenge and its topics are all available for free here:
